• I’ve used filters before but generally, I’ve struggled with the “fakeness” of the image. However, I will experiment. Anyhoo, this is my original picture. I think this was taken in Amersham, Bucks, UK. I love the “Commit no nuisance”.

Let’s see what filters can do with that!

    This one is called aden:

    I don’t see much difference!

    This one is called gritty:

Normally, I quite like b&w images but this is not great – no emphasis on the words. The door doesn’t look as special. This one is a no from me (but I might like it for other images).

This one is called Paris – I’m not sure about it.

So this is a door in Amersham, Bucks, UK – this is a link to the wiki about it https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amersham_Market_Hall. If you look at this door, I think this is the village lockup.

  • So I am reading 52 Assignments Instagram photography. This is my original photo of a postbox topper outside Sainsburys in St Albans. I just love these quirky toppers, however the weather was miserable and this is not my best photos.

Assignment 1 – Is about maximising your post. I’ve put in some tags on Instagram. Also, I straightened it up, cropped it a bit and used a filter. The filter made the red a bit brighter somehow. It was just accidental but I really like the moody sky! This was taken with my iPhone – so no complicated camera.
